LED High Bay (UFO) — Tech Spec

Round high-bay luminaires for warehouses, factories, logistics centers, gyms, exhibition halls, hangars — anything with ceilings from 6 meters up to about 15. Named "UFO" for obvious reasons. Passive cooling through the die-cast aluminum body — no fans to fail.

Core Specs

Wattage: 100W / 150W / 200W / 240W / 300W. 150W is the volume seller, covers most 6–10 meter installs.

Input: AC 100–277V, 50/60 Hz standard. 200–480V available for projects running high-voltage distribution — saves on step-down transformers and lets you run more fixtures per circuit.

Efficacy: ≥ 140 lm/W standard (4000K/5000K), ≥ 130 lm/W for CRI 90 PRO. This is system efficacy — lumens out divided by watts in at the driver input, not just the LED chip efficacy.

Total flux: 100W gives about 14,000 lm, 150W about 21,000 lm, 200W about 28,000 lm, 240W about 33,600 lm, 300W about 42,000 lm. ±5% tolerance.

CRI: ≥ 80 standard, ≥ 90 PRO. R9 ≥ 50 on PRO. Most warehouses don't need CRI 90 — don't pay for it unless you're in food processing, textile inspection, or a similar color-critical application.

CCT: 4000K / 5000K / 6500K. 5000K is the default for industrial — it reads as "clean white" and maximizes perceived brightness.

Beam angle: 60° / 90° / 120°. 90° is the standard. Go 60° for mounting above 12 meters. Go 120° for wide, low-ceiling coverage (4–6 meters). The lenses are field-replaceable on most models, so you can swap beam angles after purchase if your layout changes.

Light distribution: Type III (medium, good for aisles and racking runs) or Type V (round symmetric, good for open-plan warehouses). Secondary optic swaps change the distribution without replacing the whole fixture.

IP rating: IP65. The driver compartment is sealed separately from the LED compartment — if water gets past one seal, it shouldn't reach the other.

IK rating: IK08. Forklift-proof enough for most warehouses. If your forklift drivers are particularly creative, consider wire guards.

Housing: ADC12 die-cast aluminum, fins integrated into the body. No external heatsink — the whole fixture is the heatsink. Tempered glass lens standard, PC lens available if you need impact resistance over optical clarity. The glass transmits about 92%+, PC about 88–90%.

LED chips: Bridgelux standard, Philips Lumileds for PRO, Osram on request. For high-ambient-temperature installs (steel mill, foundry, glass factory), Osram's thermal performance edge matters.

Driver: Meanwell HLG or XLG series standard. Yes, we default to Meanwell on high bays, unlike our indoor products where MOSO is the default. The cost of replacing a high bay driver at 12 meters up justifies the premium. MOSO and Sosen available on request if you want to reduce cost and accept the trade-off.

Surge protection: 6 kV line-to-neutral standard, 10 kV L-PE on request. If you're in a lightning-prone region (Florida, Southeast Asia, Central Africa), spec the 10 kV option. It adds maybe $3–5 per fixture. A single surge event that takes out half your warehouse lighting costs more than the surge protection on the entire order.

Dimming: Non-dim, 0-10V, DALI-2. 0-10V is the default. DALI-2 if you're integrating with a BMS or need per-fixture addressability.

Sensors: Integrated microwave motion sensor (daylight harvesting + occupancy) contained within the fixture housing, or an external DALI sensor, or a Zhaga Book 18 socket for a plug-in IoT sensor module. The built-in microwave sensor is the no-brainer — occupancy-based dimming pays for the sensor within 12–18 months in most warehouses.

Power factor: ≥ 0.95. THD < 10%.

L70: ≥ 50,000 hrs at luminaire Tc 75°C, TM-21 from LM-80 data.

Operating temp: -30°C to +50°C. Cold-start tested — we've shipped these to unheated warehouses in Scandinavia and they fire up reliably at -30°C. If your ambient exceeds 50°C regularly, tell us and we'll check the thermal math.

Mounting: Hook (included), U-bracket (included), pendant with 1/2" NPT, or adjustable angle bracket for angled ceiling/beam mounting. The hook is fine for most installs. The U-bracket gives you tilt adjustment if you need to aim light at an angle — useful for racked aisles where you're mounting off-center.

Wireless control (optional): Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth Mesh, or LoRaWAN for large-scale networks. Adds cost and commissioning complexity; only do it if you have a specific reason beyond "IoT sounds cool."

Warranty: 3 years standard, 5 years PRO, 7 years PRO + Meanwell.

Certifications: CE, RoHS, CB. ENEC on request. UL on select models — check wattage and driver combination.
